I support companies as an interim manager in challenging situations and take responsibility when leadership, change or quick results are required.
My focus is on R&D, product development, engineering, operations and industrialization – particularly in the fields of MedTech, diagnostics and automation.
Whether as interim CTO/department head, task force leader or project manager – I take responsibility for product development, product improvement, reorganization as well as process and organizational development.

I support companies in developing and implementing strategies, as well as in analyzing and further developing organizations and processes.
My focus is on R&D and product development organizations, from the design of innovation and development processes to reorganizations and project organization, as well as product cost analysis and reduction.
In doing so, I work with different approaches – lean, agile, classic or hybrid – and develop solutions that fit the respective organization and task.
Design to Cost /
Value Engineering
Make products more competitive. Reduce costs sustainably.
I support companies in analyzing and reducing product costs – both for existing products and for new developments.
Design to Cost and Value Engineering systematically identify cost-saving potential and implement it jointly with development, purchasing and production.
In addition, I offer cost awareness training and workshops to sustainably embed Design to Cost in product development processes.
Martin Rapp
Dipl. Phys. ETH with over 25 years of experience in product development, innovation and leadership.
I have worked in international corporations, SMEs and startups in the fields of MedTech, Diagnostics and Automation – including as Head of R&D, CTO and member of the management board.
I have guided new products and technologies from idea to successful launch, further developed organizations and implemented reorganizations.
I combine technical understanding with leadership experience and a strong focus on implementation and results.
My experience ranges from product development and industrialization to strategy and organization, as well as process optimization and cost reduction.
